FREE RESIDENTIAL KNOX-BOX FOR YOUR HOME

San Diego County Fire has a program for San Diego county residents to receive a free Residential KnoxBox for your home, if you qualify. This program provides high quality lock boxes at no cost to eligible residents. San Diego County Fire will install them on or near the front door of the home.

A spare house key is stored inside the lock box. In case of a medical emergency or life-threatening disaster firefighters can open the Knoxbox box and use the key to gain access in case you can’t open the front door to let them in.

Click KnoxBox Program Summary for program flyer with contact information, qualifications and KnoxBox Application to apply.

IMPORTANT FIRE SAFETY REMINDER TO ALL CABIN OWNERS

As members of the Mt. Laguna community cabin and private property owners you are very aware of the high fire danger that threatens the mountain especially at this time of the year. However, others may not have that level of awareness.

Please remind all your visitors and those who use your cabin/home of the danger and ways to avoid causing a fire.  95% of forest fires are started by human activity and often by just plain lack of awareness.  We have had several near misses in the past.

Thanks in advance for taking action to prevent a forest fire.
